I've had the pleasure of capturing the vibrant spirit of a young girl named York, a energetic Belgian Malinois.
For those of you who have had the experience of a Malinois in your home, you understand the boundless energy they bring. They're true stars in the world of Working Dog Sports and from what I hear, York is a rising talent!
For many years after graduating from the Ontario College of Art my career was in Advertising. I was employed by publishers, printers, and ad agencies as well as being an in-house artist at a select set of businesses. I enjoyed working as a designer and illustrator, but as my career advanced, drawing slowly faded from the forefront, my focus being a steady paycheque. Some employers really had no idea that I could paint or for that matter, even draw. On vacation one summer, I decided to see if freelancing could be an option. Maybe get to do the kind of art I loved. I acquired a few projects, quit my full-time position and another phase of my life had begun.
